About the Event
We will go in-depth and hands-on, learning to grow in, design, and build hoop-houses from scratch (not a premade greenhouse kit). Attendees will receive comprehensive details on what, how, and when to plant, where to buy seeds and plants, soil, compost, the parts, vendors, and prices of greenhouse components with a preference for materials easily sourced from a local hardware store.This multi-day workshop will be specifically for the challenging climate of the high deserts of Utah. You will learn how Red Acre Farm grows year-round at nearly 7,000 feet with a 60-day growing season despite the high fluctuations in weather conditions and persistent high winds.Every detail and step will not only be explained but experienced. We will work together as a team, constructing and erecting, a 52' by 11' high tunnel literally starting from scratch, bare dirt to the final step of pulling the plastic cover on, end walls, and scissor doors complete.

We want you to be successful continued support for one year following the workshop includes:
- contacting us with questions, concerns, etc.
- access to the pipe bender
- within a 25-mile radius of Red Acre Farm, the Red Acre team will come out and look at the site of your greenhouse/high tunnel
- help to pull on your plastic when ready
